Ancillary Programme

As we celebrate the role of humour this week, we show how in our own backyard we use humour not just to poke fun but to poke at uncomfortable truths that rule our lives. This week we are excited to show Kidlat Tahimik’s Perfumed Nightmare (1977). Despite being undeservedly less known here, it is considered the greatest Filipino comedy ever made. Join us to witness Kidlat’s journey as he discovers the Perfumed Nightmare that is the West.
