Come close to the earth and smell the flowers. Join us this Monday as we get close to the earth and take the first steps towards finding our roots. We screen Jumana Manna’s Foragers (2020) as we draw lessons from the intimate relationship the indigenous share with nature against all attempts to sever that connection. To bring home these lessons, we, together with Singapore’s own indigenous community, the Orang Laut of the Southern Islands, learn to recognise the quiet strength and beauty of our own nature through a foraging workshop by OranglautSG.
